Title sequence and end credits for Amazon MiniTV's cop noir set in the Mumbai underbelly, led by Suniel Shetty as ACP Vikram. I worked on the opening titles, credit animations, and the painterly compositing across the package.
Overview
A gritty action thriller set in the Mumbai underbelly, with Suniel Shetty as ACP Vikram. The title sequence had to land that register from the first frame: raw and tense.
Compositing was the heaviest lift for me on the package. The painterly pass was a refinement of one I'd developed before, fine-tuned for harder edges and grittier grain. On top of the painted plates I did the rain: particle simulations driven by the CG camera files so the drops moved with the shot instead of sitting on top of it.
The packaging was easier in comparison: opening titles, end credits, and a set of editable motion-graphics templates the client could drop into the edit themselves whenever a credit name or layout changed. End credits are an endless cycle of revisions, and moving the work upstream meant a name correction didn't have to come back to me.
