Opening titles for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the tournament's return after eight years. I helped with the kinetic typography, the compositing, and the break and bumper graphics.
Overview
After an eight-year gap, the Champions Trophy came back, and the opener had to hold that history without feeling like a throwback. Rsquare set the concept and the type direction: charged single words cut hard across iconic moments from the eight competing nations, closing on the white champion's jacket.
My part was the motion: kinetic typography, plus the treatment and compositing that sat the type inside each shot, then the end bumper and the break and schedule graphics. The footage we were given made the rotoscoping a real fight, and an ICC deadline leaves no slack. The rest was the fun part.
